The project
Founded in 2002, MACA is a mining and civil contracting company that specialises in everything from building roads to mining gold. “We’ve been working with Anderson Construction for five years, on and off. Last year, they built us a heavy vehicle workshop at the Karlawinda mine site near Newman in Western Australia.
Our scope of work includes drill and blast, load and haul, provision and maintenance of all plant and equipment, so we needed a building that could handle the heavy workload. From beginning to end – plan, draft, supply, build – it took about three months,” says Andy.
